Summer Leagues 2024: Long Island City and Wollman Rink

Announcement

Our new season of leagues begins June 28 at Long Island City and Wollman Rink.

We’re back for a supercharged summer. Looking to hone your game against other experienced players or play pickleball consistently for the first time? Our leagues have you covered!

Our scramble format is designed for a fun, social, and competitive pickleball experience. Four players per court will compete round-robin style. Throughout the six-week league, you will play with and against all other participants.

LONG ISLAND CITY LEAGUE SCHEDULE

WOLLMAN RINK LEAGUE SCHEDULE

In case of rain, Wollman Rink league sessions will be rescheduled to take place in the two weeks following the last scheduled session in your league.

Structure of Leagues

Warm-up Game: The first game each week will be a social warm-up game. This game will not count towards standings and will not be entered into DUPR. Find any four players, warm up and play.

League Games: Following the warm-up game, players move to their assigned courts and play a round robin; every player partners once with the other three players. These League games will be entered in DUPR and factored into the League standings.

Court Assignments: Our League has been designed to introduce new players to each other and promote matchplay diversity. This structure will allow you to play with a wide variety of players in a social but competitive experience.

Subs: If you need to miss a session, please secure your own sub of a similar skill level. You can use our Sub Channel in the CityPickle Community Slack. If you cannot find a sub, please notify CityPickle at least 48 hours in advance, and we will help.

Rankings will be determined by overall record and head-to-head records.

You’ll be invited to join a specific channel in our Slack Community to further connect with the other players in your league and to receive weekly league updates.
