1. Director, Finance & Administration

CityPickle – New York, NY (Remote/Hybrid)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Finance to join our senior management team. The Director of Finance & Administration will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and growth of the organization. This position reports directly to the Co-Founder and Co-CEO and involves close collaboration with department heads and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive financial planning and budgeting aligned with CityPickle’s goals and objectives.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Provide insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making and optimize financial performance.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Implement robust internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and tax obligations. Proactively identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow and liquidity to support operational needs and strategic initiatives. Optimize working capital and oversee treasury functions.
  • Financial Operations: Direct and manage financial operations, including accounting, billing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and procurement. Streamline processes and enhance efficiency where possible.
  • Investor Relations: Serve as a key liaison for investor relations activities, including preparing financial reports, presentations, and participating in investor meetings.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Build and lead a high-performing team. Mentor and develop team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Administration: Oversee administrative functions including HR and insurance to ensure efficient and consistent operations as the organization scales.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in a senior financial and operations management role, ideally within sports, entertainment, or hospitality industries.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, analysis, and reporting principles.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Keen analytic and strategic thinker with a track record of driving financial performance and operational excellence and enabling sound decision making.
  • Experience working with investors and managing external relationships.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
  • A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment.

2. Social Media Manager

CityPickle – New York, NY (Remote/Hybrid)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a creative and highly motivated Social Media Manager to join our marketing team. This role is crucial in growing CityPickle’s online presence and driving engagement across our primary social media accounts, including Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn. It requires a blend of strategic thinking, creativity, hands-on execution, and a passion for social media and brand building.

Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to enhance CityPickle’s online presence and engagement on platforms such as Instagram and TikTok.
  • Content Creation: Create, curate, and manage engaging and visually appealing content, including graphics, photos, videos, and other multimedia formats, with proficiency in graphic design software.
  • Community Management: Monitor, engage, and grow our online community.
  • Influencer and Sponsorships Management: Collaborate with influencers and the Events team to run influencer campaigns and amplify existing sponsorships.
  • Event Coverage: Provide live social media coverage during events.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics. Use insights to refine strategies and optimize content. Experience with ad campaigns is preferred.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with social media trends, tools, and best practices.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in social media marketing, within an agency or in-house setting. Proven experience in developing and implementing successful social media campaigns.
  • Graphic Design Proficiency: Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and other graphic design tools.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work during non-office hours to cover events and other activities as needed. Strong work ethic with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creativity: A keen eye for design and aesthetics, with the ability to create compelling visual content. Please share your portfolio of previous work.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze social media metrics and use data to inform strategy.
  • Teamwork: Excellent collaboration, written, and verbal communication skills.
