‍CityPickle announces hire of local NYC pickleball organizer Katherine Hedden

Hedden to lead Community Outreach and teach pickleball

If you’ve ever played pickleball at a pop-up court in Manhattan, from St. Vartan’s to Houston, you have likely met Katherine Hedden. Katherine discovered pickleball in 2015, and has been playing ever since.

As CityPickle’s Director of Community Outreach and a teaching pro (Katherine has had her IPTPA certification since 2018), she is excited to bring the joy of pickleball to all. She shares that seeing new players discover their athletic abilities and score their first point is one of her favorite aspects of coaching.

She is looking forward to bringing diversity, knowledge and positive energy to an already growing community through her role at CityPickle. Katherine has been a USA Pickleball Ambassador for several years, dedicated to working closely with Community Boards and the NYC Parks department to help bring more pickleball courts to Manhattan.
